We envision a community where mothers in crisis and their children find safety, not fear

A Sanctuary of Safety and Hope

a silent crisis

In the metropolitan Phoenix area dozens of pregnant women - some with small children - are sleeping in cars, motels, derelict buildings, or crowded shelters. Many have been homeless for weeks; others were recently evicted or pushed onto the streets. Those carrying an unborn child face increased levels of targeting, violence, food insecurity, or familial abandonment.

Holy Name Center will provide safe housing, compassionate care, and a path to independence for homeless pregnant women and their small children

Safe Housing & Expansion

The center will offer housing for up to 50 pregnant women and their children, with plans for an optional future wing that could expand capacity to serve an additional 50 women and children.

Care, Counseling & Child Development

Residents will also have access to counseling, mentoring, and spiritual care, as well as early childhood support and developmental resources designed to promote healthy growth and long-term well-being for their children.

Education & Life Skills Support

In addition to shelter, Holy Name Center will provide prenatal and emotional support, parenting and infant care education, and life-skills training to help mothers build stable futures for themselves and their families.

More than simply providing housing, Holy Name Center will offer a compassionate community where vulnerable mothers and children can rebuild their lives in safety and hope.

To help make this vision possible, a limited number of permanent legacy naming opportunities are available for founding benefactors.

Through these opportunities, individuals, families, businesses, and foundations may permanently associate their names—or honor loved ones—with spaces that will transform lives for generations to come.

It is an opportunity to create meaningful change while receiving valuable tax benefits. Through eligible sponsorships and charitable giving programs, donors may qualify for tax credits that help offset the cost of their contribution. Your investment directly supports safe housing, care services, and life-changing resources for homeless mothers and their children, allowing compassion and community impact to work hand in hand.

Referral agencies

Holy Name Center will partner with Arizona-based referral agencies to provide housing, meals, and counseling services to pregnant women experiencing homelessness. Priority will be given to expectant mothers who already have one or more young children in their care.

Referral agencies will conduct preliminary evaluations and refer women whose needs can be appropriately served within the Center's residential setting. Women requiring specialized treatment or higher levels of care may be referred to other community resources. Services will be offered as space and resources permit.
